The Association of Spanish Underwriting Agencies (ASASE) is proud to announce the incorporation of AM Best as its new strategic partner. This agreement marks a new milestone in ASASE’s mission to foster and strengthen the confidence of insurers and clients in underwriting agencies, as well as to promote professionalism and compliance with international standards in the market.

AM Best’s entry as a partner was formalised in the framework of the recent ASASE Congress, where the prestigious rating agency not only stood out as the main sponsor of the event, but also provided value to all attendees with the very interesting intervention of Riccardo Ciccozzi, Director of Market Development for Europe at AM Best Europe, who addressed the current polycrisis and its implications for the insurance industry.

During the congress, AM Best received special recognition by being presented with the official ASASE Partner plaque, consolidating its role as a partner of the association.

In line with this collaboration, AM Best and ASASE are working on a major initiative to offer ASASE member underwriting agencies access to Best’s Delegated Underwriting Authority Business Performance Assessment service, a project that aims to increase the transparency, credibility and competitiveness of underwriting agencies in the industry by providing objective tools to measure the financial and operational soundness of these entities.

Of this great initiative, Dario Spata said: ‘This agreement takes us to a new level, with a partner that is recognised worldwide. The interest shown by AM Best in ASASE reflects the importance of underwriting agencies at national and international level. We welcome them’.
